Taiwo Amos an Agricultural Economist was admitted to the University of Ibadan where he obtained the Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics in 1987. In 1992, obtained the Master of Science Degree from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State and obtained the Doctor of Philosophy from the same Institution in 2000.

After the compulsory National Service at the Isoko Local Government Area, Oleh, Delta State, as the NYSC Liaison Officer he started his academic career as an Assistant Lecturer at the Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Bauchi State. He joined the services of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1993 as an Assistant Lecturer and rose through the ranks to the position of Lecturer I. In 2002, He transferred his services to the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) as a Senior Lecturer and was promoted to the position of Reader in 2006. By 2009, He became a full professor of Agricultural Economics.

Professor Taiwo Amos has published widely with over 30 international and 16 national Journal articles, 16 conference papers, technical reports, invited papers and text books involving collaborations within the University and around the World. He has been a World Bank Consultant since 1997 on various projects. He has and still consults for organisations in the area of rural and economic development and currently the coordinator of the West Africa Agricultural productivity Program (WAAPP/FUTA).
